Bud Ward

Bud Ward (M.A., Penn State) is president of Morris A. Ward, Inc., a consulting firm in northern Virginia. Before becoming an independent consultant, Mr. Ward served as executive director of the National Safety Council's Environmental Health Center in Washington, DC. An environmental journalist and environmental analyst, he is the former editor of The Bureau of National Affairs magazine Environment Reporter, and founding editor of the Environmental Law Institute's policy magazine, The Environmental Forum. He has served as a regular environmental commentator and analyst for National Public Radio's All Things Considered and Morning Edition and he has authored two books and more than one thousand articles on environmental issues. Mr. Ward is the former Assistant Director of the U.S. Congress's National Commission on Air Quality, and he has worked in the business community as director of environmental and occupational health for a national electronics industry trade group. Mr. Ward was one of the founders of the Society for Environmental Journalism.
